Muffins-N-Movies – “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” Starring Sheila Hancock, David Thewlis, David Hayman and Jim Norton, Rated: PG-13
Bruno’s father is a high-ranking officer in Hitler's elite SS troop who has just been placed in command of Auschwitz. Bruno thinks that the camp near his home is just a work farm with strange workers that wear striped pajamas.  While exploring in the woods he discovers the concentration camps perimeter fence. On the other side sits a boy his own age, who he befriends. This film examines the emotional complexity of this chapter in history by displaying the casual brutality of a Nazi lieutenant; the strife within the family's domestic life, glimpses of the treatment of the Jews and a ghastly propaganda film suggesting that life at Auschwitz was like a holiday.
