Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Dexter District Library was organized in 1957 and is a non-profit volunteer organization whose primary purpose is to support the Dexter District Library.

The Friends canvas book bags are available at book sales and at the circulation desk for only $12. (click on photo, left, for larger view)
Projects supported by the Friends include:
- Manage book sales and library sale shelf
- Assist with library programs
- Purchase of CD cabinets
- Purchase of two outdoor benches for the library grounds
- Provide funds for Summer Reading Program
- Purchase of ValueLine subscription
- Provide funds for library furnishings
- Help with 1st Grade Reader Roundup
- Purchase of paperback carousels
- Purchase of staff room furniture and coffee maker
- Purchased storytime materials
