Harpist-Singer-Storyteller, Carol Kappus (and a special Mystery Guest!) present a tribute to Poet Robert Burns. Indulge your love of all things Scottish with the works of Scotland’s Favorite Son and Bard, Robert Burns on the 253rd anniversary of his birth.

Working hands-on at a computer, beginners will learn basic mouse and keyboarding skills. They’ll also learn about the parts of a computer workstation and types of computer equipment including computer hardware and software. Registration required.

Local Iris Folding & origami crafter, Helen O’Toole, will help you create a beautiful and intricately folded Valentine using the craft of Iris Folding. History of the Sanders Confectioner Company
Join us for a sweet Valentine’s treat as Greg Tasker, author of, Sanders Confectionery, Presents on the History of the Sanders Confectioner Company. For over 130 years, Sanders served as the Detroit areas premier ice-cream and candy shop and operated a popular lunch counter that served multiple generations and created lasting memories as one of Detroit’s icon businesses. The 5th Michigan Regiment Band
In Honor of Lincoln’s Birthday, the Dexter District Library is proud to host the 5th Michigan Regiment Band! Dressed in period clothing, the band will play songs popular during the Civil War era, while Carol Smith (President of the 5th Michigan Regiment Band) will provide the audience with detailed information about the band's instruments, the color guard's flags, and this fascinating period of American History.
The band's website is: http://www.mi5th.org/ and they are part of the Michigan Arts and Humanities Touring Program. Families are welcome and light refreshments will be served.
